Parliament of India

Parliament of India is the supreme legislative body of a country. There are two bodies of Indian Parliament Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The Constitution of India came into force on January 26, 1950. The first general elections under the new Constitution were held during the year 1951-52 and the first elected Parliament came into being in April, 1952. The Lok Sabha speaker is to be head of Lok Sabha and responsible for organized in a rational manner.

Lok Sabha

There are total 545 members in Indian Lok Sabha directly elected by people. And making the Government 273 seat is must. The Lok Sabha members is to be elected for five years. Somnath Chatarji is the current Lok Sabha speaker of India.. The minimum qualifying age for membership of the House is 25 years

Rajya Sabha

Rajya sabha is the  main body of the Indian parliament. The vice President of India is to be head of Rajya Sabha. There are total 250 members in Rajya Sabha.  The 238 members are elected by the elected members of India and 12 members are elected by President of  India. Rajya Sabha is the permanent body of Indian Parliament and  its members retire every two years.
