Indian Army

Between year 1903 and 1947 Army of India consist of both the Indian army and the British army. India between 1902 and 1909 Lord Kitchener was appointed Commander-in-Chief. .Lord Kitchener was instituted large scale of military unit in the British Raj.

During World War II, in early 1942 ,after the fall of Singapore and the ending of ABDACOM , in August 1943until the formation of SEAC some American and Chinese units were placed under the Army of India command. The army has become heavily committed to internal security duties in Kashmr and the Northeast. There are near about  1 million personnel and fields about 34 devision.
